How to convert 1d element in Optistruct profile to Abaqus
Hello comrades!
I have some problems importing 1d elements from Optistruct to Abaqus. I have a task to convert a model with 1d T-section elements from Optistruct profile to Abaqus.
But there is a big problem with the fact that Hypermesh ignores the properties of the 1d element.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

How to solve that?
Thank youAbaqus does not have a T section equivalent, so there is no one to one mapping. You will need to reassign or recreate the beam section manually.

Hello,
I would use the nonsolver sectiontype HMTSEC

Actually, I ran into the issue where HMTSEC is not supported for OS.
My recommendation is to do a "soft conversion". Instead of running the convert tool, simply change the solver template to Abaqus.
The property converts correctly, but will lose the beamsection. You can just reselect it and select the proper type.
