Static Displacement Response value always positive

Hi together,

I have a static analysis with apllied forces. As response values I get displacements in global coordinate system.

I want to get directly the absolute value (positive value) from DRESP1 cards without using DEQUATN and DRESP2.

Is that possible?

You could create a 'Static displacement' response, and pick 'Magnitude>>total disp'.

Magnitude will always be positive.

 

If magnitude is not the right value for you, then you'll need a equation for absolute value.
