Error 8116: Failed opening scratch file

Hello everyone,

I am trying to model a buckling analysis in Hypermesh. For this, i have created these cards:

  • Linear static loadstep including spc and force
  • Eigrl loadstep collector
  • Linear buckling loadstep which has linear static analysis STATSUB and eigrl METHOD

Everything seems correct. And I have easily analysis results: displacement, modal results and critical force coefficent.

Hovewer, during some of analysis Optistruct has displayed this message, without any changes in the model:

Fatal Error 8116

Failed opening scracth file "<model folder>/<model name and some numbers>.rs~" 

And then i see end of solver output.

I have tried 2 different ways:

  1. TMPDIR control card: i have created temp directory to other harddisk location which has really empty space. But it did not work.
  2. Optistruct fix memory option: Before analaysis and optimization, i have set the option to fix memory size. But it did not work, too.

I can not fix this problem.
