Is the bond can be generated in the material block?

Hi,

I used the volume packing to generate a material block for the geometry. However, I would like to ask if is it possible to generate the bond in the material block (if i use the bonding V2). I try to use the bonding V2 for the material block in the simulation, but I cannot find the 'bond creation time' this attribute in the simulation. The following is the material block for a steel plate geometry, could you please tell me how to implement the bonding V2 in this material block?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Chao

    Hi Chao,

If you use the latest version of EDEM (2022.1) the volume packing includes bondV2 settings.  You have to set the Bonding V2 model in the physics first and then the option is shown in Volume Packing.

Otherwise in older versions of EDEM it defaults to bonding at t=0 so if your volume packing tool is set to create the material at t=0 it will bond then.
