Adding welding to the corners

Hi,

I have step file of a structure, but it doesn’t have welding on the corners. I want to do structure analyse, but without welding’s, I would not get realistic results.

Is there any quick way to add welding on the corners or any other solutions for this?

in Inspire, if you have at least the reference lines for your welding, you could probably create some solid shapes for these, and use tied contacts to attach these between your structure members.

Yeah, I think that might be the only way now.

I was thinking to make it solid between parts, but that is a lot of work.

I also found, that simsolid has some tool for this. Would be nice, if inspire also would have something like this. Like you would select the line and two parts and it makes some solid part between the parts.

Ok, didn't know that in the structure section you have contacts and you can add bondings to parts. Thats great. But they don't work with motion analyses.
