Hi,

Is there possibility to get relative coordinates?

Like COG would be relative to body local coordinate? Or inertia tensor would be relative to the COG or body local coordinate. Then if you override the moment of inertia, you know which direction you are effecting. And with relative coordinates you could set joint relative to object local coordinates.

    Hi Karli,

It sounds like you are wanting these references for input purposes (part setup, etc.)?? You can only use relative coordinates on the output side, when viewing results. There are a few different ways to do that, depending on the result you are seeking. For joints, under the Run Settings, you can switch from Global to Local to 1st /Local to 2nd, where the plot results will be taken relative to either the first or second part's coordinate system. Also keep in mind Systems can be used in several ways as a reference.   Systems can be placed on any part (or ground) and can be oriented independently from Global.  Measures can be added between any two parts, part and system, or two systems, and then a System can be used as the reference frame for the measure.  You can also plot all kinematic outputs for systems (disp, vel, accel...)

If this does not help, maybe expand a little on what your application is and perhaps it might shed might on another possible approach (or enhancement request).

    Thanks,
