How can I mesh this midsurface/solid better?

Hello everyone,

I have big problems meshing the displayed midsurface. Does someone have tips&tricks to get better elements?

I have to make a 3D mesh trough extrudaction. So I have to create a 2D mesh first?

 

How can I split or defeature this surface for the optimal element qualtiy?

The mounting of the part will be done on the plane side, on the left.
