Can EDEM generated very loose packing, like porosity equal 0.6?

Hi,
In EDEM 2022 you can use the volume packing tool where you can set a porosity and you can use this with the bonding model.
You can see information on the volume packing tool here:

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for reply, I have used "volume packing" in EDEM2021 before, but when I use volume packing, I don't need to create Factory which control parameters of bonding V2, so can I use volume packing and bonding v2 together?
Thanks

RaheemHi,
In EDEM 2022.0 the volume packing has been updated to include the option to set the bond time, this then allows you to work with bonding V2 like the standard factories.

Thanks, I found the settings, by the way, I have tried with bonding V2 many times, but I have never built bond successful, are there any examples or attentions when applying bonding v2?

Hi,
One of the key points is you need a contact radius larger than the particle physical radius. In terms of guidance on the inputs I'd recommend reviewing the e-learning lesson on Bonding V2:

Thanks, I set contact radius as you said and I usually used bonding old vcersion successfully, I will learn what you post, and in EDEM 2022 version, in Analyst-Line-Select element, I didn't see bond selection when I use bonding(cpu version), is it removed in EDEM 2022?

Raheem
