How to perform shock analysis in optistruct?
I Have to perform shock analysis in optistruct?
Problem description:
Type of pulse- Half sine pulse
Amplitude 30g
Duration- 15 ms
No of shocks - 10 in each axis

you could approach this multiple ways.
In a simplified way, you could use SRS curves and get the equivalent response, by using an amplification factor, as an equivalent acceleration, by knowing the most impacting frequency of your system.

now, if you prefer, you could approach this in more details and run an actual transient analysis, using the half sine input directly.
This really nice article from @Vinicius Gomes shows how to proper setup the TLOAD card for that.
The only thing you need to understand is that if you consider a linear transient analysis, there would be no plastic strains, or other NL effects.
You could try a NL transient if any NL effect is needed, or even Explicit Analysis.

Hi,
Thanks for the information.
can you explain me the analysis setup for the below.
Type of pulse- Half sine pulse
Amplitude 30g
Duration- 15 ms
No of shocks - 10 in each axis
Thankyou in advance.
