    Iam performing modal analysis for motor. The motor consists of stator, windings, rotor, shaft etc. so, i dont know how to model stator and rotor laminations. is there any alternative method for modeling of laminations stacking or calculations.

    A structural 3D FE model is created to describe the vibration behavior of the machine and an acoustical FE model evaluates its acoustic response. The tooth and stator core is an assembling of laminated iron. This lamination is taken into account using equivalent mechanical properties.

    Thankyou for your reply. can you explain how to calculation equivalent material properties for laminates. in my model 460 laminates are there. they are axially stacked together.
