Damping coefficients at OS-T: 1310 Direct Transient Dynamic Analysis of a Bracket
Hello Everybody
I am trying to do the transient analysis, similar to this OptiStruct 2020 tutorial:
OS-T: 1310 Direct Transient Dynamic Analysis of a Bracket.
I can’t understand in this tutorial, how exactly these two values were selected:
Uniform structural damping coefficient - G_V1 (0.2)
And conversion to equivalent viscous damping - W3_V1 (300)
Modal analysis of this part, guides and references did not help much.
I would be very grateful for any tip, on this or similar example, the best, if also analytic solution will be available for verification.
