we were trying to install hwDesktop2022.1_win64, but we receive an error after the initial checking (InstallAnywhere is preparing to install...).

Are you trying to install on Win11 machine?
you could try the newly released hwDesktop 2022.2 and chek if the same happens.
I believe this is related to some incompatibility on Java with Win11.
