Hyperworks exports suppressed edges to Step file too

Hi All

I need to clean up a geoemtry and suppress  some edges which belong to small holes. But no matter which function I use, like Patch or fill holes or plug, and then suppress the remainning edges, when I export the geometry to Step file for my analysis purposes in Abaqus, I still see those suppressed edges there. Does Hyperworks keep the suppressed edge advantage for use in meshing and analysis inside Hyperworks or we could be able to have a clean geometry for other FEM softwares?

as far as I remember, these operations that you perform in HM change only the internal topology for HM and are not exported.

Couldn't you just create your mesh and export it directly to Abaqus? Or even create the whole model in HM?

Thank you very much for your answer. Well the obligations to work the analysis on another software can exist for so many reasons. Well if that is the case as you mention then you are right, I have to then use Hyperworks as the analysis tool, but since Hyperworks is famous for this geometry editing and such a software profile panel that could provide the solution file for each software that you choose, then if the geometry is undeliverable, it could become a huge hassle! I mean we are living on the planet of the earth, with the intention of making our planet a better place, but then milions of human hours are lost from our engineers (only in engineering) just to struggle in this geometry conversion hassle among companies. Letting aside research....

btw I am sort of fluent in Hyperworks, but need to get faster in post processing too, and since the platform is changed, it became actually more difficult to put the hands on, but maybe its the steepy part of the Dunning Krüger curve
