How to combine load patterns

Hello everybody,

I am a new user for solver optisrtuct. (In past I am used Intes Permas). I have a problem combine load patterns in optistruct. For example, I have working load and i would combine with pretention load. see below picture. How to do it like this in optistruct.

you need to apply a bolt pretension load, and take it to your following step by using statsub(pretens) in combination with CNTNLSUB to take all the deformation from the bolt pretension to the other loadcase;

 

There is a tutorial in OptiStruct help showing how to setup 1d and 3d bolt pretension.
