Hi all, Am looking to model transmitter mobility in WinProp.
Can anyone please help me with some setp-by-step procedure or some guidance to be able to do that.
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Balaji
The WinProp time-variant module allows to assign a trajectory and speed profile to specific object groups (e.g. car on a street).
Please have a look in the corresponding chapter 3.8.10 of the WallMan user manual and corresponding sample project under Altair Connect.
Then in ProMan the transmitter can be assigned to such a moving object group and the several snapshots of the time-variant scenario with the moving transmitter can be computed, based on the definition of start time, end time, and time increment.
Thanks a lot reinerh, Though I have not tried your advice yet, I plan on doing it this week. From your response, I learnt that this functionality is existing in WinProp.
I shall try it out and will reach out to experts when in doubt.
Thanks
Hi reinerh,
I did try the time variant simulation and It worked as expected. However, when I try to compare the time variant result with that of independent non-time variant simulation results with slightly modified geometry. I get the following error message.
'The currently displayed data contains values at the following time steps 0.0000s, 1.0000s, 2.0000s, 3.0000s, 4.0000s, 5.0000s, 6.0000s, 7.0000s, 8.0000s, 9.0000s, 10.0000s, 11.0000s, 12.0000s, 13.0000s, 14.0000s. The data in the selected file contains values at the time step 0.0000s. Currently time step 1.0000s is displayed! but no matching time step found in selected file! Time steps do not match. No operation possible!' .
Please advise how to compare time variant results and be certain that the values are accurate.
