Induced voltage calculations
Hi , I am currently looking to simulate and calculate induced voltage and current on a passive copper conductor due to a parallel current carrying conductor.
Medium between the conductors is air. I am seeking for help to locate any Flux based examples or documentation or videos or presentations dealing with this scenario.
If none available, please kindly provide some guidance interms of what application to use? what conductor properties? How to create a closed loop? is it accurate in 2D or 3D simulation?

Hi,
To compute the induced voltage and current you need to use a solid conductor region to represent your conductor. For the material that you will use you need to put the value of the resistivity. In Flux supervisor example, there are some cases (for example IPM brushless motor, case: motor performance at constant speed) we use a solid conductor region.

If you use a solid conductor region you need to use a transient magnetic application.

Thank you very much @Abdessamed for your advise. I too have found out that I need to use solid conductor region.
I also intend to use circuit elements containing both Solid conductors and coil conductors.
I am however unable to track (view/verify) the coil conductor connections between Equipotential terminals (In Electric Circuit) and Electric terminals (in Physics--> regions). Naming convention in Physics-> Regions -> Electric terminal has *INPUT and *OUTPUT where as naming convention in Electric Circuit->Equipotential has *Terminal1* and *Terminal2*. How do I know which Terminal is connected to INPUT/OUTPUT.
This problem however does not exist for solid conductor as the naming convention of equipotential terminals and Electric terminals are linked.
Would you please kindly help me resolve this issue?

Hi,
From the circuit you can get the equipotential terminals and see the connection between. To do it, select one line in the electrical circuit (place the cursor on a line) you will get the number of the equipotential.

@Abdessamed Thank you very much for your kind response. However, I am looking for connection between the equipotential terminals and physics regions (faces of geometries).
For example:
Lets assume, I have 'face 1' and 'face 2' of a volume region named 'CC' and equipotential terminals of stranded coil conductor named 'T1G' and 'T2G'.
Now, The electrical terminals of the volume region would be named automatically as 'CC_INPUT' and 'CC_OUTPUT'.
To make connections, I can now go to Physics -> 'Assign coil conductor components to regions' and assign 'CC_INPUT' to 'face 1' and 'CC_OUTPUT' to 'face 2'.
Now the Question is , Where do I link 'T1G' to 'CC_INPUT' and 'T2G' to 'CC_OUTPUT'? is this link already made? if so how do I view/verify the link?
Final combination am looking for is 'face 1' Linked to 'CC_INPUT' Linked to 'T1G' and 'face 2' linked to 'CC_OUTPUT' linked to 'T2G'
Please kindly advise

Hi,
This connection it will be automatically. I mean when you assign the born (input/output) of your solid conductor, you select the solid conductor (equipotential at terminals).
