Contacts in trim assembly
Hello,
We have a trim model assembly, having lot of snap fits, and locators.
We would like to perform a static/non-linear static analysis , for different loading conditions at assembly level such that all parts are loaded.
Our objective of the analysis is to check if there any stresses experienced by the snaps due an external load in the assembly.
This involves lots of contact on the trim assembly mainly at the snap location.
Can this analysis be possible in Optistruct with the contacts?
Can you please let me know how to do this is Optistruct?

OptiStruct is fully capable of doing this.
I would recommend you to search for the e-book in Altair University for NL analysis.
If you're a customer already you can get in contact with your local Altair support, and maybe request some training for this.
