How to calculate INDUCTANCE COMPUTATION for 10 pole periodic machine.
Hi,
How to calculate INDUCTANCE COMPUTATION for 5 pole periodic machine.
i tried using CreateLookUpTableFromTMProjectDQLight.PFM macro but there is an Exception('Represented pole pairs must be integer or 0.5',) error
how to rectify it and is there any other ways to calculate Id and Iq values at a specific speed point in 2d?

Hi Pradeep,
Do you mean the machine has a total of 5 poles or 5 poles pairs? It is uncommon to have odd number of poles on electric machine. What you need to enter on this macro is the number of pole pair represented on the geometry of the model (for example if you modeling 1 pole in the model you would use 0.5).
Otherwise, you can check the attached document which explain the procedure/steps you need to compute dq inductances.

There are 10 poles in a machine (5 pole pairs), I'm simulating periodic model it has 5 pole, so i taken number of pole pair represented on the geometry as 2.5 (0.5 for 1 poles)

Hi Pradeep,
Okay, I see. Unfortunately this a limitation on this macro and it is excepted to be removed on the next version of Flux expected on April.
If possible try to model an even number of poles or just one. If not you can refer to the document I shared and works everything from scratch.

The document that you have shared will be of great reference to me. Did I want to ask you if maybe you have chapter 6 and chapter 7 of the series of these documents?
