Hi,

I've been working with a model recently. This is a simple crane on a barge were I want to setup a winch and cable system at the tip of the crane. The follower, in this case the monopile, is freely falling (or snap?) and that seems to be causing an error in run-time. What can I do to make the model more viable?

    Hi Linn,

Can you provide an animation (GIF, AVI, etc.) of this free fall or snap you are describing above? The attached model is not a model archive so it opens with errors due to externally referenced files, so we are unable to simulate the model to see this behaviour. Just like in your support ticket, can you please attach the model archive here so others can look into your model?

The cable wrap entity does not have the ability to snap, so it sounds like you may not have any motions active on a revolute joint in your system. This would support the free falling scenario most likely.

    Hope this helps!
