Spur Gear Simulation

hi all

I am begainer to optistruct and I am facing problems to how to provide moment to Driver gear and how to constraints same gear to rotate about axis. Is any Tutorial for Spur Gear Contact Stress Analysis please help to solve the problem

hi, you can add a constraint (SPC) to the driver, such as only the Translational DOFs are frozen (123). If your model rotates around 'Y' axis, you can leave the DOF5 free. So in the end you might add a SPC 12346 to your driver's center node of the RBE. Add your torque to the center node of the RBE2 as well.

I do same as you suggest; after doing same; there is large expansion in driver gear radially.
