Mathematical formulation for Altair Hyperworks - Optistruct

Hello, I would like to know the mathematical formulation used by the Hyperworks - Optistruct program, especially the plane stress/strain function, because I need to know it to understand the operation of the program and thus make a report for a project of the solid mechanics subject of the university.
