HTC parameters in Inspire cast clarification
Hello,
I have question regarding the HTC parameters on the different components in Inspire cast.
Basically what I would like to manage and understand is where do I plug-in my HTC which is T° dependent between my part to cast and the steel die.
I am a bit lost because I see in Inspire cast :
Environnement HTC which is T° dependent and another one HTC with a fix value for a die definition
I am assuming one will be the HTC between the part casted and the die and the second one the die with the air but not sure and the environnent HTC confused me.
Could you please help me.
And on top of that I would like to know if we could manage different HTC value for example between the part to cast and the die and the gating system and the die which have a different coating and so different HTC.
Thanks for your support

Hello,
Here is my answer.
HTC is the conductivity between 2 bodies (part-mold, part-chiller, riser-sleeve, etc) and the HTC environment is the conductivity between the bodies and the environment (mold-env. part-env (if it is open to the atmosphere).Regards,Milan Raval0
