Chain modelling

Hi everyone

i would like to see some proposals of modelling a chain that basically is going to replicate when needed the two positions of the chain (tension and relax positions) using 1D elements in one configurations avoiding making modifications to elements and just representing the positions based on the behavior of the 1d elements through the processing

    It is really hard for implicit solver to simulate a chain in relax position - many degrees of freedom are not determined. In reality, there is damping/friction/gravity to stabilize the chain in relax state.

    You may try explicit solver such as Radioss.
