Mesh Controls doesn't work as expected

Dear All,

Perhaps you can help me with Mesh Controls. From some reason it doesn't work as indicated in the documentation. I tried to ask a product engineer about this but I wait for over a week for an answer but did not receive anything. Perhaps someone in this forum can help.

In the documentation it is said:

" When generating the mesh, the following behaviors apply: Feature mesh controls are applied first. Model and local mesh controls are applied second,"

However in practice this is not what happens and I fail to understand why
Please see the attached file.

Thanks

"I tried to ask a product engineer " Do you mean ask the support team of Altair? They should answer you, if you are a full license customer.

It would be better you to show some pictures of what you were trying to do, and what did you do.

    Just for a better understanding.

    Hello Adriano,

Yes, I am a full license customer but I wait over a week for an answer from the France support team of Altair for this question.
They seem to be very busy lately. One of them suggested me to post my questions also here. So, I try.

I try to seed the left edge of the rectangle with 30 seeds and mesh it using the mesh surface control.
I expected the edge seeds to be respected but we definitely see that it is not respected. I don't understand why.
I use tri elements in order to allow minimum constraints.

Do you know what could cause HyperWorks to disregard the feature seeding?

    Thank you,
    Amir

i'm sorry..i couldn't make it work too. I'm not so familiar with this approch inside HyperMesh.

    Maybe others can help better.

"Waiting over the week" for nothing as answer?

You should contact your local vendor (not technical) to tell him about this (horrible) support.

I am in contact with Amir and a meeting is already targeted to have a better view of his needs.
