Hi
I used the check element function to check some 2D elements. It showed that they have "questionable connectivity"(See the attachment). How may I fix it? In fact, I did not see any visible problem with the elements.
Â
Thank you.
I did solve the problem myself. I found that there are some invisible elements sitting between those visible elements. After deleted the invisible elements, the check runs through. I wonder whether this is a bug for element as slim as a line. No matter how much I zoom in, nothing is shown on the graphic screen.
I can see them if I find by element length: e.g. for 1003898 below, I'm not sure how these were created in the first place?, they are quads but degenerated to a line as they only have 2 nodes repeated
I tried to export the model to COSMSOL and it immediately reported the error. When I read the export file, I successfully traced down those elements by ID. This is just a small section of my model. I wonder how I shall hunt all of them in a model with half a million of elements.Â
I hope HM could include function to check degenerated elements.Â
These could be generated with equivalence the edges if HM has bug.
