Optistruct vs Abaqus - Max principal stresses
My question is, what is the differences between the stress components in Optistruct and Abaqus? I mean, what is the difference between P1(major) - Optistruct and Max principal - Abaqus? The same analogy to P1(minor) and Min Principal.
I ran a simulation in both softwares with same mesh and same parameters to compare, and notice that as P1(major) and Max principal(Abaqus) values are very close, but the P1(minor) and min Principal(Abaqus) is very different!
Some details: It is a shell element analysis, and I set for stress calculation Gauss as location for optistruct and Integration point for Abaqus.
Thanks in advance!

Should be the same for any solver.

Yes it should be the same, but this is the problem. I got the same results for P1(major) and Max Principal, but different results for P3(minor) and Min Principal.
At time, the Mises results were equivalent in my comparison between abaqus and optistruct.
