Mapping transient temperature results from abaqus odb file to optistruct model

Hello All,

I am trying to set up an optimization using Optistruct. I would like to use temperature results from abaqus odb file to do this. In the optistruct tutorial, I tried to follow the example of "Continuous Temperature/Displacement Mapping Example". When I click on the field>realize button I got the following Error! I have checked the version of the abaqus result file. However, it is compatible with my HM version and I can open the odb file in HV and I can see the temperature results in it. 

Do you have any recommendations about how to map transient temperature results from abaqus odb file to optistruct model?

(In case it helps, I can get a CSV file from abaqus as "x_coor, y_coor, z_coor, temperature" format for each increment. )

The fields utility should be compatible with .odb file. The first error of result file version might be the issue. Which version of Hypermesh and Abaqus are you using ?  Hypermesh 2023 version can read ODB results files version 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 without needing to upgrade them. If you try to load a file older than version 2019, an error message is displayed.

Another workaround would be to use Hvtrans to convert the .odb file to an .h3d file and use this .h3d file to map temperature . HvTrans is a result translator for HyperView. It translates solver result files into .h3d files. HvTrans operates in two modes: GUI and BatchMode.
