Solid cut: Bounding surfaces

Hello everyone,

so i got a hypermesh file for meshing.

Now when I am dividing the geometry with cut operations like "cut by plane" the two resulting solids do not have closing surfaces at the area of the cut.

On the other hand when I delete the solid without deleting its surfaces and than cut the surfaces I can use the 'file cuts' checkbox and a bounding surface is generated.

What can I do to change this? Is my geometry broken? 

As far as I know the file was generated by importing a step file.

    Hello,

    I have seen this issue previously. 

    Can you try updating to the latest version and try again?

    It should be only graphical. If you mesh the surfaces, those should be meshed as well.
