Unable to plot graphs for my rotating kinematic magnetic simulation

Hi,

I'm currently studying the magnetic behaviour between a rotating N42 magnet and stationary N42 magnets in order to design a nonlinear energy sink. I've managed to run the simulation for the max and min rotating angles of 12.85 and -12.85 degrees respectively. Please see figure below for my setup.

After I run the solution I get the autogenerated torque deflection curve as seen in the figure below.

However, when I want to generate the force-deflection curve or any other graph for that matter for the mobile magnet, the resulting curve shows no results and I get this error message.

Would you able to explain as to you I am getting this message and how to fix the problem?

Many thanks in advance,

Sami

It is moved to GTT support.

    Hi Sami,

The magnetic force computation is computed by the virtual work method. But to use this, you need to have the part surrounded by air.

In your model, create a air cylinder around the moving part as in picture below and assign it to moving mechanical set.

With this, you will be able to compute forces on the Mobile region using a sensor with Predefined Magnetic force computation.

    Thank you,
