How to Simulate Arduino in Activate

So i made a Co-simulation of a robotic arm using arduino. i can see results and all but i want the animation of my digital model to move same as my physical model. so how i do i do that?

Hi Bhavani,
I'm not sure about what animation you're talking about, so I'll answer with 2 different scenarios:
1) If you have a co-simulation with a multibody model, you can access the animation through the '.h3d' file that would be saved on your selected directory. With that file you can see the animation on HyperView.
2) If you are talking about an animation on Activate using our "Anim2D" block (Pallete Browser: SignalViewers), you'd have to create your model there, using our 2D capabilities, similar to what was done on this video:

I'm guessing that you're talking about (2), so I recommend you to access our Demo Browser > Animation, there you can take a look on how this is done in Activate.

is there any reference tutorial or book where i could learn to declare types and all. or could you help me declare types and all parameters for a motor that rotates an arm at one end.
thank you for the previous answer.

Bhavani,
Yes, we have a nice playlist on Altair University YouTube Channel discussing a bit more about the basics on Activate like: How to navigate through the GUI, declaring variables and so on.
But if your interest in specifically on how to create animations using "Anim2D" block, besides the path that I told you above, you can check the "Extended Definitions for Advanced Users":
Regards.

Hi Bhavani,
If you modelled the robot in Activate with Modelica multibody library, you can get an animation of this model by checking Animation in Simulation Parameters. This feature is available with Activate 2021.1.
