I have a heatsink model with me. I need to mesh this with Tetramesh but couldn't do it. Each time I try to use Volume tetra, the mesh is always failing and can't solve the problem. Can anyone please help me? I am attaching the file herewith.

    Sujay,

I did give it a try and it did mesh on first attempt. The model was very small, so I did scale it 1000 before i put a tetmesh. What is the error that your see?

It says that mesh is failed. It is showing some red elements where the mesh is failing. But I can't do much. Please help if possible. Thank You

I first went with 5 then to 3 but both failed. I was using Volume tetra to mesh. I even tried with element size of 1.

Your model size is 2x2x3 m. If you are trying with elem size 5, 3 or 1 its most likely to fail.

Either go fine with size to capture the model-may be near 0.05

    OR scale up the model.

Before you tet mesh, try putting a 2d mesh on an surface with elem size you are trying with, to get an idea.

I tried with 0.005, the mesh is too fine. Is this good to keep the mesh very fine??
