How can I generate graphs?

Hello everybody,

I have the Formula student of my university with the Adams, but I want to transfer it to Altair, but I don't understand the graphs that it gives me.

How can I generate the graphs I need?

For example some of the graphs I need are:
-Roll centre height vs roll angle
-Camber angle variaton vs wheel travel
-Kingpin inclination angle vs steer angle
-Scub radius vs steer angle

Among many more... Attached are some pictures

Please if you can tell me how to generate these graphs.

Hello Josep

MotionView comes with a vehicle library that automates preparing vehicle models, solving and post-processing.

It is found under the Model menu > Assembly Wizard. The wizard helps to build either a half car or a full car model.

Once the model is built, you can attach any relevant events using the Analysis menu > Task wizard.

The hard points, body properties etc. can be changed manually by selecting them in the browser and editing in the panels or may be changed in bulk using the Data Summary under the Model menu.

The model is then solved using the Run panel.

All these tasks or events come with an automated report which can be accessed using Analysis menu > View Reports. For an half car, there are 2 reports that provide a series of plots. You may chose the SDF based reports.

SDF stands for Static design factors and are calculated at each position of the wheel. Executing the report would add plots and an animation to your Hyperworks session, which MotionView is a part of.

Thanks for the help, but I have already simulated the vehicle and put the data from my Formula, my question is how to generate new graphs.
Because with the K&C analysis it gives me 40 graphs, but I want to generate other graphs like the ones I have mentioned above.

Is there any tutorial?

You can create new plots manually by adding an Hypergraph page/window and loading the result file PLT. Most of the outputs of your interest should be under type User Defined.

Each request under these usually consist of more than 1 channel or component and the label may not give the complete clue.

Thanks for the help, but I can't manage to create the graphics I want.
I'm following your steps, but I can't find exactly what I want to put in graphs, besides I can't find any name for the graph, it appears as use defined 2, it doesn't have units...
I don't know how to do for example, roll center height vs roll angle.
