Error 286

I am running a nonlinear dynamic crash analysis on my chassis and getting the following error

ERROR ID: 286
** ERROR IN INPUT CONSISTENCY
DESCRIPTION :
2D SOLIDS (QUADS AND TRIAS) ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 3D. CHECK N2D3D VALUE

I have checked for the element types. I have attached my hm file also.

    Hi,

     

    You're using /QUAD elements in your 2D model.

    /QUAD are used for axisymmetric models if i'm not mistaken.

    for regular shell models, the correct element is SHELL4N and SHELL3N.

    So, in order to make it right, go to 2D>element types, select all your shell elements and 'update' them according to this configuration.
