Energy error up to -80%

I'm simmulating the bending and release of two tapes in radioss and the output file presents an energy error that goes up to 80%,  I've changed the integration points and the type of elements in order to eliminate the hourglass effect and the friction is set to 0 so non of this can cause the high energy loss. Any idea of other possible causes.

I would suggest clearly check the Initial Penetrations at the contact Region if thats fine then check if you have given right value at Gapmin and its correction factor. I hope it would help you.

There are no initial penetration and the parameters are defined acording to literature, the error starts as soon as the simulation begins and there is no contact between the tapes at that point. One end of the tape is moving and that causes buckling, i wonder if that may cause the error.
