I would like to convert OptiStruct results files

Hello,

I would like to use a results file from OptiStruct (only need the stress tensors) in a different software. This software only imports the following file extensions: *.rst, *.cdb, *.txt, *.inp, *f06, *.stl.

Is there a way of converting an OptiStruct results file into one of these file types? Thank you.

no direct converters.

You could:

- request Stress directly in OptiStruct to be output in OPTI format which is an ascii text format, and then adapt it to .txt. (need to request and run again)

- go to HV, use the Query fuction to export a CSV file with your tensor results

- go to Compose, create a script to extract the tensor components and write them to a .txt file
