3D Tetrahedra meshing issue
Hello everyone, I have encountered a problem with the tetrahedra meshing tool. Indeed, sometimes, when I want to mesh a solid, a compenent named ^tmp_2d_for_tetra is created with 2D elements. From what I understand, this would mean that the meshing process encountered issues with the geometry. I tried the Surface repair tool but it did not seem to help. Would you have any advice about what to do in this kind of situation ? I just started Altair so I am sorry if this was already solved but I did not find any answer. Thanks in advance !

Hello Leo
You can try perform batch repair which automates the cleanup operations on selected surfaces (https://help.altair.com/hwdesktop/hwx/topics/pre_processing/geometry/geometry_batch_repair_t.htm?zoom_highlight=Batch+cleanup)
To create a tetramesh , I would recommend to check the component is still a solid after performing the cleanup and surface repair. There shouldn't be any free edges. Another recommendation is create a 2d mesh first for all the surfaces and check the element quality (Example : skew) . Make sure the 2d mesh is completely enclosed (No free edges). This mesh will then be used a reference to create the tetramesh which simplifies the tetramesh creation process
