Impact forces

Good morning,

I am doing static simulation cases of impact forces during a machining process. I know it is not the best software but we have little time and we want fast results to know the behavior of the part during machining without needing exact stress values.

I have the cutting speed parameters and everything related to the cutting tool, does anyone know a way to get the value of the force (KN) exerted by the cutting tool on the part when machining it from those values I have?

Hi Marcos,

 

Assuming the simulation is static, SimSolid can output reaction forces at any connection/part in the simulation. View reaction forces by using the Reaction/contact force tool.

There must be a connection between the cutting tool and the part and the force going through that connection should be what you're looking for.
