Data Base (Material Manager) of Non Linear Described Magnets for Demagnetization Simulation

Good Morning everyone,

the magnet materials are all described in linear ways in your material manager. I need some non linear behaviour of ferrite magnets for demagnetization simulations. Is there any possibility to import a non linear described magnet from your material manager?

Thanks in advance

    Hi,

In Flux you have the possibility to import the material form the material manager. To od it :

    • Open the material manager (form the Flux project >> physics: material >> right click : select import from material manager)
    • Flux open the material manager >> select the material (drag and drop) and you put in the Flux proprieties (in the right).
    • Close the material manager (check that the material is imported)

Other way, you have the possibility to create your own material in you Flux project:

    • Material >> new >> select the type of material

    Best regards.

Thanks for the fast response. I knew how to import materials from the material manager, but the defined magnets are all with linear behaviour. What I need is some magnets with non linear behaviour. So i can determine the demagnetization.

Are there any non linear defined ferrite magnets from Altair. I only find linear defintions in the material manager.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

You can go through the example from the attached presentation for more information about the demagnetization in Flux.

From the presentation you can take the values of the magnet parameters to create a new material for a nonlinear magnet,  NdFeB N45H.

You can evaluate the demagnetization after the solving, uncheck the Taking into account the demagnetization during the solving process check box, or to take into account the demagnetization during the solving process.

    Best regards.
