Question about hertz-mindlin with bonding?

Hi,
I want to calculate HM force after bond broken which was different with HM with bonding(bond force and HM force were calculate together). So I stored the initial normal physical overlap with contact custom property at the bond creation time, but I am confuesd when I dealt with tangential overlap, I am not sure if the tangential overlap changes or not in the calculation of bond force without sliding.

Hi Raheem,
Both the tangential and normal overlaps can change as the bond deforms. After the bond breaks the bond forces should be zero and the contact force should become the HM force.
Best regards,
Stefan
