Ability to Assign Boundary Condition of Constant Velocity to Rigid Body in HyperMesh/Radioss?

Hi,

Is there the option (in HyperMesh for Radioss) to assign a constant velocity to a rigid body for simulation? I am in the process of testing out IMPDISP as a sort of unideal work-around (maybe you can tell me whether this idea is even a good idea??) but would like to know if there is a better option to assign a constant velocity to a part/component.

Please let me know if you need any clarification.

    Hi,

You can use /IMPVEL which will allow you to defines imposed velocities on a group of nodes. You will need to select only the master node of your rigid body (otherwise, it is a imcompatible kinematic condition).

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,

    Mathis.
