Related to contacts
I was doing finite element modelling and later will do analysis of a bolted joint most probably in Optistruct. So as you know there will be friction between the plates and bolts and accordingly i have to assign friction. I have like the value of co-efficient of friction for like between plates and bolt etc. with me. So can i input it during setting up contacts between the interfaces?

Friction can be inputted into your contact model.
For the bolt with plate, you will need a solid bolt head/nut, in order to add the friction to the contact.

Hello,
As there is bolt and plates interface, should contact be given between them also?
I am making RBE2 connection for the bolt by the way so does the process change in any way please guide me
