Hi, I am running HyperWorks SE on my personal machine. When I try to run the program while on campus, I get the following error:
Altair License Manager: License error
Feature(s): GlobalZoneAM, HyperWorks, HWHyperMesh
Error Code: 9
Error Description:
Feature not found
Feature: HyperMesh
Error Code: 9
Error Description:
[LOCAL] C:/Program Files/Altair/2019-edu/security/altair_lic.dat - (Err: 9) Feature not found
License Path: C:/Program Files/Altair/2019-edu/security/altair_lic.dat;C:\Users\Jorda\.Altair
I have spoken to Altair's Academic Account Manager, who has helped me validated that the Ethernet Host ID is correct, and that the file is in the correct location and is named 'altair_lic.dat' without an additional '.dat' extension. During the conversation with the academic account manager, they mentioned: 'In addition, the “Altair License Manager: License error” indicates that you are trying to run the license as a server (network) license rather than a standalone license. SE license are standalone licenses.' Hyperworks will run when I am off-campus, but as soon as I get on campus, it does not run at all and the error mentioned above pops up. I was wondering what the difference between server licenses and node-locked licenses and if that could be cause for issues when trying to run the program while on campus.
Thank you.
