How to stop "Update in progress" in supervisor?

Hi,

I have a problem opening big files. If I try to open folder containing big files, there is a text "Update in progress" in the supervisor which goes on and on and on. Then eventually it might show contents of the folder briefly and starts to update again and you have couple of seconds to open the file that you want. This is very annoying problem and occured first time in version 2 years ago (maybe).

There is a one way to open large files faster by opening a new project but that is not very convient either.

Is there some way to get rid of the infinite updating of the supervisor?

    Hello Otto,

    What do you mean with "big files"?

    Could you give us an example in terms of Flux model dimension and the its wait time?

    How did you set the memory in the supervisor for that model domain (2D/skew or 3D)?

    Did you try to reboot the machine? Did you changed some settings?

    Did you have enough free memory?

    Hi,

    Well, in the most time taking folder, I have few files with sizes from 100 gb to 200 gb. The bigger the folder size the longer the waiting time. Waiting times can be for example from 60s to some minutes. All folders include 2D calculation data. I have tried different memory settings without any effect. Restarting computer doesn't help.
