Flux 3D build faces
Hello,
I am trying to create a custom 3D geometry in Flux 2018.1.
Problem appears at build faces step where Flux does not want to build 5 faces.
For modelling I am not using Flux Modeller as it is common to cause problems later in project. Also goal is to have parameterised geometry for later optimisation. So .stp model importation is not an option.
What could be a solution to build such faces?
Attaching the project.
In tutorial such faces are marked with ''Complex face CAD import''. Which in kind odd.
Thanks.
Best regards,

Hi,
Flux from time to time does not manage to build them, it is complex faces (hence the usefulness of using the modeler).
Could you resent the Flux projet (to create the zip format: right click on the project.FLU >> zelect zip format).
Thanks.1 -
Hi,
thank you. Sending the .zip format attached.
Thanks.

HI,
I created the missing volume using the “cover wire” function in Flux 3D. This function is available in:
Flux context >> geometry: select context healing of CAD geometry (Cover wire context will be opened).
This type of context from time to time lead to get a corrupted project. For me it is better to use Flux modeler to build your project particularly when we have a complex face.
You will find the project that I create using the “cover wire”.
Best regards.

Hi,
when using cover wire function noting happens apart from ''coverWire executed'' displayed in output dialog box and in Log.py:
coverWire(lines=[Line[39],
Line[25],
Line[40],
Line[42]])I use the function below and then Build faces and Build Volumes. Am I missing something?
Also tried to cover all 5 missing faces and no result.
Thanks.

Hi,
To build the faces and volumes, in first, I delete the volume 3. After I build the complex faces. Once this is done, I build the volumes (I use the cover wire to build the volumes).
You can check the project that I send you.
Thanks.

Hi,
thank you for reply. With this I managed to solve the project.
But there is still a ''problem'' - I would like to keep the geometry parametrically built to further optimise it using HyperStudy.
The problem emerges when you change one physical parameter and the so called ''complex faces'' disappear. And you need to build the wire geometries again.
As far as I know the Moddeler does not allow parametric building?
Thanks.
