How to specify the position of a particle in EDEM by setting the bcc parameters

Hi, the bcc (Body Centre Cubic) lattice option creates a lattice based on the start point and separation. If there is space for the particles to be placed they will be placed on the lattice points specified.
Like the other factory types if there isn't space to place the particles, i.e other particles or geometry are in the way, then the particles won't be placed.

Hi,Stephen
Really thankful for your replying. But what confused me was how to setting the parameters of the position. I search for chatgpt4o, it showed that the first parameter "start point " was the position of the first particle, and the seperation refers to the distance between the adjacent particles. So, is that correct of the answers? Another problem is that when i setting the parameters and activated the factory:display lattice, sometimes the computer may acting up and keeps freezing. Really need your help.
Many thanks in advance

Hi, that's correct, start point is the position of the first particle and separation is the distance. It's best to make sure the separation is greater than the particle size to avoid overlaps.
It maybe that you are tying to display too many lattice points and it's causing problems with the graphics. If you set it to create just a few particles at the start do these get created?

Hi,
To add to my colleague's Stephen's comment. You can visualize your factory lattice and its position by going to View> Factories: Display Lattice as shown in the image below.
Kind regards

hi, Ignacio
Thankful for helping me in need. I tried several times and succeed in solving the problem. Have a nice day!
