Dear Forum Members,

I would like to bring forward an issue that I am facing for the conversion of time domain data (time vs accln.) to frquency domain (Frequency vs PSD accln. in g²/hz)

I have looked into several documentations online regarding this and I was unable to land on a concrete method to get this conversion done.

I was able to import the data which has time(s) in x-axis and convert into frequency on the x-axis. Then, moving onto the accleration data which is on y axis, I was unable to find methods in to convert into PSD accln.. I used several math functions like PSD, FFTMAG, Hanning. I was unable to get the data in the format I wanted it to be.

I thank you in advance, if you could find some ways to help me out here with this issue.

I have also attached the screenshot of the time domain data and also the way in which I approched this problem on the hypergraph.

The time domain data

The method of approach on hypergraph

i. Defining the curve

ii. Selecting the y axis and

iii.  Selecting the desired function for the transformation

Thanks and Regards,

    Hello Prasanth,

I will forward you a session file with resampling the data to 2^n as shown below will lead you the good results.

try the same formula, and forward me the session if you have any issues.

    Regards,

    Venkat.

    Hello Mr Venkata Chittala,

Thank you so much for the quick response and I will try the functions as specified and will look into the proper meaning of each and every function used in it.

    Regards
