Creating Motor for e-machine

Hello, apologies if this is a simple question.
I have been attempting to make a brushless IPM synchronous motor which can be used to generate the component for analysis in e-machine.
When i try and generate this component i get an error saying 'Circuit not allowed, only star connection of coils is supported'

The current circuit i have is https://i.imgur.com/4KSnEry.png

How would i change this for e-machine to accept it as a star connection

    Hi,

In your circuit you need to add a resistance (with Hight value for example 1 e4 ohm) in // with one phase (current source+coil+inductance+resistance).  Also, can you check the value of the resistance in series with the current source (you need to put a low value, or you can delete this resistance).

    Best regards.

I have now tried to run a test in e-machine, but it lasted over 16 hours and failed.
I am following the Embedded Magnets Technical paper, for a 2D embedded magnet Brushless IPM motor, and generating the E-machine file after setting up the motor for a constant speed solving scenario. Including using the Altair Flux Overlay.

My settings i'm using is shown below. Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

I have a feeling it may be due to the large amount of files being created and filling up my memory.

Is there a way to get a power and torque curve by rpm, including the flux weakening drop off straight out of Flux?

    Hi,

Mybe the problem is due to lack of memory on your computer. I need a screen shot of the error message and report file to see more in details the origine of the problem.

If you want to get the curve of Torque/power function os speed you can use FluxMotor, also you can get the efficiency  Map.

    Best regards.

    Hi,

I haven't received any error messages, it just shows a cross in the bottom right where i would be running a test.
if i look into the XML file for the test this line shows an error code 'An error occurs durring the last flux running: -1073741819', i was running this test in e-machine from a file location with over 100GB free. I have attached the XML file.

Unfortunately the Altiar Hyperworks package my university has doesn't seem to have FluxMotor, otherwise all this would of been alot simpler...

Many Thanks with helping me through all this..

    Hi,

Can you try to increase the memory that you use to solve the project.

The second thing , try to change the work directory when you use CDE. to do it:

click on the distribution manager on Flux supervisor

Select configure >> local >> next >> shared path (try to change the folder, for example create a tmp folder on the D)

    Best regards.
