Hi all,

I have assigned Property type 16 (SH_FABR) for a fabric material with N=1 (layer). I used this property since MAT/LAW58 is compatible with this. The simulation results show a stiff behaviour of this component and is not realistic compared with test result. Does anyone suggest me how to change no. of integration points in PROP/TYPE16 as we do in  PROP/TYPE1? Also can anyone please tell if it is a good practice to change the MAT/LAW which is compatible with PROP/TYPE1?

    Hi Ushay,

/MAT/LAW58 is only used with shell elements with /PROP/TYPE16  and only one integration point is allowed in the current version.

Please check the material data provided. Choosing the right material and providing the reliable material data in performing a simulation is very important and any unclear or illogical data provided during material characterization will lead to uncertain results.

You can change the material law, but as stated above based on the material behavior choose the right material law.

Thank you very much George. This is the needful info. Could you also please share if there exists a compatible table between material and properties in general?
