hi all,

could anyone clarify what is the FSCALELOAD in LAW70? As per my understanding, If I input a set of stress strain data into the function and give the scale factor as 1, the values remain same and if I mention the scale factor as 1.5, all the stress strain data will be increased by 20%? Am I correct? Why does the units of FSCALELOAD is 'Pa' if its just a factor? Is it possible to scale only Abscissa or Ordinate?

    Hi,

Good catch. It;s only a scale factor and mistakenly units were given.

    Hi Ushay,

Fscale is the scale factor for the vertical axis of the curve given, that is it will scale the function's ordinate (Y) value.

To be more clear the Fscale scales the Ordinate which is the stress part of the stress strain curve. These is no way to scale the strain.

And regarding your math, if you are using 1.5 as Fscale, this would scale the stress value by 50% compared to old values.
