Hi,

Is there any possibility to view the h3d animation results before completion of run?

my run time is nearly 4 hrs for a transient model. I would like to see whether the animation is going in the desired manner instead of waiting till the run gets completed.

H3d file is created only after the solution is done. Is it so?

    Hi Karthic,

Can you try with PARAM, NLMON, DISP option?. Nonlinear solution generates displacement monitoring results in a second H3D file during runtime.

Please check the Help Menu on the same.

    Thank you George,

     I will try that.

Is it possible to restart the nonlinear transient run from last increment?

If so what cards i should go with

    Hi,

I couldn't find NLRESTART and also PARM, NLMON in Hm14.0. Is it available only in 2017 version ?

PARAM NLMON is available from Hypermesh-OS user profile from HW 2017.0 version.

    Hello,

I would like to know what NLMON stands for and what its' purpose is. I am currently studying about Hypermesh and I can get around to understand why we use NLMON. Same goes for the card BULK_UNSUPPORTED_CARDS.

    Thank you in advance

    Hi @KBE

Non-linear Monitoring is abbreviated as NLMON which can be used for small and large displacement analysis.

With NLMON active a  .nl.h3d file will be written in the working directory which is used for monitoring the non-linear analysis during the run. This file gets updated for each increment.
